When you start to watch this vid you begin to wonder whether they got the title wrong or whether your geography teacher knew what he was talking about when he said that Hawaii was part of the Americas. The first 25 minutes is taken up with the various breaks around the Hawaiian Islands.
It's only after that first 25 minutes that you realise that this was in fact a mini-flick prior to the main feature.

This is a little like the Sarge’s Surfing Scrapbook videos with one distinct difference. It is narrated by H. G. Nelson, and as the slick says, “Here’s what you get”. Contests can be fun - showing rare good wave contests in places like Kirra, Nias and Reunion Island. Tour through South America. World Amateur Titles in Rio De Janeiro. And of course, there’s always a segment on Hawaii. Not a bad flick. H.G’s commentary is first class.

Starting with the obligatory Hawaii, there is just too much time spent dwelling on contest surfing. Sixty of the 80 minutes is taken up with a variety of contests from all around the place. The “free surfing” that is in the flick isn’t too bad though. This manages to drag an otherwise very average movie to a mediocre movie. If it’s in the weekly section at your video shop, or if a mate’s got a copy, check it out.

Filmed in the wilds of the Pacific & Indian Oceans, Australia, Hawaii, USA and remote tropical islands, this is a full-on attack from a bunch of very hot young surfers.
The "M" rating comes from a bit of bad language. Nothing worse than what you hear at the beach every day.

The hottest and some of the biggest waves make this a great flick. You have to see places like Uluwatu to believe the perfection some of these guys get into.
The movie takes you to all the spots that the current crop of surfers know about.
Some of the waves in this are unbelievable.

Made as a Quiksilver Promo film, the pretext of this little flick is that a surfer (Ross Clarke-Jones) finds the formula for Magic Wax (Mad Wax) and when he rubs it on his board and makes a wish, he is immediately transported to some top spot where he can surf his brains out.
Enter the villain (Gary Elkerton) who tries to steal his secret. And so the story goes on...
There are some good performances (in the water) by Tom Carrol, Bryce Ellis, Aaron Napoleon, Marvin Foster and the other "players".

Featuring a mixture of current footage and some old stuff, this is a fairly good flick.
There is a big use of a jet ski to get some of the shots, and that certainly gives a different perspective on the whole thing.
Music isn't too bad, though sometimes a bit inappropriate.

Subtitled "A Surfing Odyssey", this is an unusual little piece of video footage. The title is very philosophical (Can't Step Twice On The Same Piece Of Water), but there seems to be very little in the way of surfing and far too much time spent on boobs, loin cloths, demonic balinese dancers and experimental photography.
I only paid about 4 bucks for it at a second-hand store, so it was okay at that price.
